Frogmore Paper Mill is the birthplace of paper's industrial revolution.
In 1803 the first of what went on to be called a Fourdrinier Paper Machine, was installed and operated here launching the revolution that made paper the cheap, plentiful product that we all use every day of our lives.
Now operated by the Apsley Paper Trail charity as a working paper mill and visitor centre so that its unique history and equipment is preserved for the nation and the premises used for education, entertainment and enlightenment.
